FAQs
Why is your practice called Veritas Psychology Partners?
"Veritas" is the Latin word for truth, and it reflects our commitment to providing evidence-based, effective therapy. Our goal is to help clients discover and live their personal truth—whether through emotional healing, relationship improvement, or personal growth.
We aim to deliver focused, episodic therapy that resolves today’s concerns rather than creating extended, lifelong treatment plans.
Do you accept insurance?
We are a private pay therapy practice and do not bill or accept insurance directly. However, we are insurance friendly, which means we provide a superbill to help you submit claims to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
Benefits of Private Pay Therapy:
Personalized care without insurance limitations
Immediate access to therapy (no delays or approvals)
Enhanced confidentiality (no diagnosis reported to insurers)
Flexibility to tailor treatment to your needs
You can check your out-of-network benefits using tools like Mentaya.
How much do your services cost?
For a full breakdown of our fees and services, please visit our Rates and Fees page.
What is a superbill, and do you provide one?
A superbill shows an itemized list of services that you have received from an out-of-network provider, like a therapist. This document will be required by an insurance company as you seek reimbursement for an out-of-network provider.
And, yes, we are happy to provide superbills.
I need help submitting my superbill
We have partnered with Mentaya to help clients use their out-of-network benefits to save money on therapy. Use the tool on our Rates and Services page to see if you qualify for reimbursement for services.

My state isn’t a member of PSYPACT yet. When will they join?
Once your state’s legislation is enacted, we’ll be able to offer therapy there. To help move things along, contact your representatives and share that PSYPACT is important to you.
The PSYPACT website has an up-to-date list of states that are active, pending, or joining soon. At this point, it’s easier to check the eight states not included: Alaska, California, Hawaii, Iowa, Louisiana, Montana, New Mexico, New York and Oregon.
HOWEVER: Dr. Daniel Kessler is licensed in the state of New York. So you can see him regardless of their standing with PSYPACT.
If I don’t live in a PSYPACT state, can you still see me?
New states join PSYPACT regularly, so keep an eye on the map. However, if you’re in New York, Dr. Kessler is licensed there and can provide telehealth services.
